Abi’s father Joseph Olabisi Ige Fasusi

Hello all, thanks for taking the time to read this appeal for support. Hopefully you find it in your heart to support our dear friend Abi as she lays her beloved father to rest.

It has been a tough year for many, and the Fasusi’s are no exception. Still reeling from the loss of their mother, they cared for their ailing father until his passing in early November of this year.

In 2020, Abi’s mother who traveled to Nigeria pre-pandemic, never made it back home. As COVID travel restrictions were being implemented, her then healthy mother was trying to find ways to get back to her family in the US, but suddenly became sick. Shortly thereafter she passed away. The family was unable to travel to Nigeria or bury their mother.

Now Abi and her siblings have been dealt another hard blow with their father’s passing. They have the unimaginable task and financial responsibility of ensuring their father is properly laid to rest, in a way that they couldn’t for their mother.

As her friends, we are trying to find the best way to support her and her siblings. We’ve raised $1,500 thus far, and would love additional support to cover the burial costs, which is estimated at approximately $18k.
