Help fund Abigail's FORM internship

My name is Abigail Bird. I am 17 years old, and recently graduated high school on May 13th.

I am from Southwest Michigan, where my dad is the planting pastor of a 6 1/2 year old church called The Bridge.  The vision of the Bridge is to learn how to live and lead like Jesus did. 

I have the most incredible opportunity to move to Ft. Wayne, IN, and participate in an internship called FORM.

FORM is a discipleship, leadership, and missional training year for young adults ages 18-29. It is a life-changing year of self-discovery, hearing from God, and being trained for a lifetime of following Jesus in an authentic way.

It is a 10 month process that begins September 1st and will end in the begining of June.  We will gather Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30am-2:30pm every week in a more formal classroom setting in addtion to other, broader, more organic, learning opportunities.

I WILL BE...

- Living with a leadership family from Grace Gathering Church, which is the church that hosts FORM. 

- Participating in the daily rhythms of the staff members from Grace Gathering.

- Participating in a weekly missional community gathering and gaining experience in other missional opportunities.

- Serving in a ministry capacity to implement what I am learning.

- Interacting with church leaders from around the world.

There will be a FORM leader on staff that will oversee the program and help train and disciple me and the participants with other leaders investing both formally and informally in us. 

I will learn and practice life skills such as:
- Rest and rhythm
- Time management
- Confidence in my identity
- Conflict management
- Healthy family practices
- Financial management
- Forgiveness and Healing
- Decision Making about Future

I will learn and practice ministry skills such as:
- Disciple making
- Missionary Engagement
- Devotional living
- Hearing and being led by the Holy Spirit
- Scripture Study
- Leading groups
- Personality/Spiritual Gift Assessments
- Missional Community Leadership
- Creating a Personal Development Plan
