Abigail's Angels: The A Team: Help Her Fight & Win

Abigail's Story...

This is my daughter Abigail.  She is a beautiful, bright, vivacious young woman with a smile that can light up a room and capture hearts.  Her kindness and compassion toward others can be seen in her work as a mother/baby nurse at Georgetown University Hospital.  She loves her job and adores her co-workers.

Abigail was diagnosed with colon cancer.  In January she underwent testing and was told she has stage IV colon cancer with metastases to her liver and ovary.  She started chemotherapy immediately and has completed 2 rounds.  The plan is for 2 more rounds of chemotherapy and then another PET scan to see how it is working.  The oncologist wants to shrink her existing cancer and hopefully prevent any further spread.  She will have to have more surgery to remove her colon at a later time. This is going to be a long arduous battle.

A cancer diagnosis is devastating emotionally, physically and can be financially.  The bills are beginning to accumulate and she has not been working.  Abigail has not been at her job long enough to qualify for short or long term disability and has not accumulated much benefit time.  She is not someone who asks for help so I am asking for her.  Help me help Abigail fight cancer and win.  I am asking for help with general medical expenses, co-pays, deductibles and anything the insurance will not pay.  I would like her not to have to worry about these expenses and put all her energy into fighting the cancer and healing.
