Abigail Ortiz-Baldwin Memorial Fund

Abby Ortiz-Baldwin was truly one in a million—incredibly rare to find someone as giving and supportive as she.

Abby was diagnosed with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, an extremely rare brain disease. She relentlessly fought for her life and made the most of it. She peacefully passed on Thursday, June 4th. 

Abby leaves behind her husband Fred, children Jacinto and Adrianna, and grandchildren, Xavier, Yasmin, Joshua, Julissa, and Jacklyn. She was the glue to the Ortiz Family and her passing has left an enormous vacuum.  She emphasized the importance of family. She was always there for her loved ones -- family and friends!  Abby had a heart of gold. She will always be remembered for her radiant energy, infectious smile and perseverance.  

Abby's disease progressed rapidly. She went from a healthy individual to her passing in just two and a half months. Because of the rapidity of her illness, the family is struggling to meet the financial necessity required at this time. Any amount of donation is appreciated.
