Shortly after arriving in Orlando Abigail began to run a high fever and took an Uber to the ER. After many test were run it was discovered that there was a blood clot in her right lung, a product of miscarriage complications that started four weeks prior to their trip. The blood clot cut off blood flow to a part of the lung that resulted in a quarter sized part of her lung dying and she was diagnosed septic as well. 

Abigail remains in the hospital today receiving treatment for the blood clot and the infection. Currently she continues to have high fevers off and on as her body fights to heal. She will not be cleared to fly home until her Pulmonologist gives her the all clear which will not be until the fevers subside and her white blood counts have improved.

Today Abigail’s husband and kids have to leave and return to Texas. I have flown to Florida to stay with her while she fights this battle. No one knows how long this separation from her family will last and the medical and other expenses continue to pile up for everyone involved.
