Abi Amato Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

As many of you have already heard, our dear friend Abi went home to be with the Lord on September 10, 2021 after a long, brave fight with cancer. Abi was quite simply, an amazing woman. She was devoted to Emily, Ethan and Alex and loved them with all her heart. She cherished her family and was a dedicated and selfless friend. She loved the Lord and was constantly reminding us of God’s goodness even in the face of her hardship. She was beautiful, funny, smart, stylish, reserved, thoughtful, warm, genuine, and so much more.

We, her friends, have put together this memorial Fund as an outlet by which to honor Abi. Many of us are left wanting to do something for her and her family, to honor her memory, and to show our love. The proceeds will go to benefit Emily and Ethan. Abi’s main concern throughout her cancer journey was not for herself, but for her children and how it might impact them. Her mother’s heart ached for them. Every dollar donated to this fund will directly benefit Emily and Ethan. A portion may be used for their immediate needs (such as counseling or childcare), while the majority will be put into a professionally managed investment account for their education and future needs.

One of Abi’s many talents was writing. We leave you with her inspiring words, written on March 14, 2021….

“There have been so many ups and downs over the years, so many things that I have had to let go of, so many disappointments......but there are so many other people who have so much less than us, yet we don’t think about them. This is life and everyone has their own story, experiencing the trials of life like everyone else is, just in different ways.

What are your trials? What makes you happy or sad? What brings you joy? Who do you run to in hard times?

God is our creator of heaven and earth. Every little thing! Think about it for minute. The amount of things that God has created and how it has all come together. Amazing! He gave us his only son to die a violent death to save our souls. We only need faith as small as a mustard seed.

Much of the time I feel unworthy and not good enough but I think about that old song: “God is so good”, always! We just may not see it at the time....there is always a beautiful plan that we can’t even imagine!

What is God trying to teach us today?”
