Abheben mit Herz: Unterstütze meinen Traum, Pilot zu werden!

Liebe Freunde, Familie und Unterstützer,

ich wende mich heute an euch mit einer ganz besonderen Bitte.

Mein Name ist Emre Avci, geboren am 09.10.1996. Als leidenschaftlicher Familienvater verfolge ich einen lang gehegten Traum: den Beruf des Piloten zu ergreifen. Dieser Wunsch ist für mich weit mehr als nur eine berufliche Zielsetzung – er repräsentiert eine tief verwurzelte Vision für meine Zukunft, die nicht nur mein Leben bereichern, sondern auch meine beruflichen Horizonte erweitern wird. Ich bin verheiratet und erfreue mich an der Rolle als stolzer Vater meiner zweijährigen Tochter.

Derzeit arbeite ich Vollzeit am Frankfurter Flughafen im Betreuungsdienst, doch meine wahre Leidenschaft gilt dem Fliegen. Neben meinem Beruf absolviere ich privat eine anspruchsvolle Verkehrs- und Berufspilotenausbildung an der Flugschule Air Alliance Flight Center GmbH in Egelsbach. Im Januar habe ich bereits meine PPL(A)-Lizenz (Private Pilot License) erworben und setze nun meine Ausbildung mit dem Ziel fort, die ATPL(A) (Airline Transport Pilot License) zu erlangen. Momentan sammele ich die erforderlichen 100 Flugstunden als Pilot in Command (PIC) und bereite mich parallel intensiv auf die anspruchsvolle ATPL-Theorieprüfung vor, die ich im Fernlehrgang absolviere. Dies alles gelingt mir neben meinem Vollzeitjob sowie meinen Verpflichtungen als Ehemann und Vater. Aktuell habe ich 11:02 Stunden als PIC von insgesamt benötigten 100 Stunden erreicht.

Seit ich denken kann, träume ich davon, die „Vögel“ aus Metall durch die Lüfte zu lenken. Für mich gibt es nichts Faszinierenderes, als die grenzenlose Freiheit und das Gefühl der Schwerelosigkeit zu erleben, wenn man über den Wolken schwebt. Das Fliegen ist für mich nicht nur ein Beruf, sondern eine Berufung – eine Leidenschaft, die tief in meinem Herzen verwurzelt ist. Jeder Flug ist ein Ausdruck dieser Begeisterung und erfüllt mich mit unbeschreiblicher Freude und Erfüllung.

Folgende Geschichte ist der Auftakt zu meinem Entschluss, Berufspilot zu werden:

Es war ein Flug mit der Lufthansa, einem Airbus A321, auf dem Weg von Frankfurt nach Istanbul, zum damaligen Atatürk-Flughafen. Ich war noch ein kleiner Junge, ca. 4–5 Jahre alt. Dieser Flug hat bis heute einen unauslöschlichen Eindruck bei mir hinterlassen und motiviert mich weiterhin, meinen Traum zu verfolgen, eines Tages selbst Pilot zu werden. Während des gesamten Flugs saß ich mehr oder weniger still auf meinem Sitz, doch in mir brannte die Aufregung. Ich wusste, dass ich bald in der Stadt landen würde, in der meine Wurzeln lagen, aber etwas faszinierte mich noch viel mehr – das Flugzeug selbst. Die mächtigen Triebwerke, die Flügel, die sich durch die Wolken schnitten, und die ruhige Sicherheit, die das Flugzeug ausstrahlte, zogen mich magisch an. Als der Flug endete, geschah etwas, das mein Leben für immer prägen sollte: Ich durfte nach vorne ins Cockpit, um die Piloten zu begrüßen. Die Cockpit-Beleuchtung wurde eingeschaltet, und ich stand da, mit großen Augen und einem staunenden Blick. Ich sah die ganzen Instrumente, Bildschirme und Schalter – all das war für mich ein Wunder. Dieses Erlebnis hat sich tief in meine Erinnerungen eingebrannt und legte den Grundstein für meinen Entschluss, Berufspilot zu werden. Leider wurde damals kein Foto von mir im Cockpit gemacht.

Dieses Kindheitserlebnis motiviert mich immer wieder, meinen Traum zu verfolgen, auch wenn der Weg manchmal schwer ist.

Dieser Traum ist jedoch auch mit erheblichen finanziellen Herausforderungen verbunden, die ich allein mit meinem Vollzeitjob sowie meiner Rolle als Vater und Ehemann nur schwer bewältigen kann. Meine Pilotenausbildung erfordert viel Zeit und Energie, was Überstunden und das Opfern wertvoller Familienzeit mit sich bringt. Trotz meiner harten Arbeit reicht mein Einkommen nicht aus, um die hohen Kosten der Pilotenausbildung zu decken. Aus folgenden Gründen konnte ich die Pilotenausbildung nicht bei einer Fluggesellschaft beginnen: Zum einen hat die Fluggesellschaft in der Zeit, als ich anfing, keine neuen Piloten ausgebildet (Corona); zum anderen haben die Fluggesellschaften in dieser Zeit Piloten entlassen. Aus diesen Gründen habe ich die Ausbildung selbst in die Hand genommen. Da ich bereits jetzt meine Private-Pilot-License (PPL) habe, ist mir die weitere Ausbildung bei den Fluggesellschaften verwehrt. Deshalb wende ich mich an euch, liebe Freunde, Familie und Unterstützer, um mir auf diesem Weg beizustehen. Jede Spende, sei sie noch so klein, hilft dabei, meinen Traum vom Fliegen zu verwirklichen und meine beruflichen Ziele zu erreichen. Eure Unterstützung ist nicht nur eine finanzielle Hilfe, sondern auch ein Zeichen des Glaubens an mich und meinen Traum.

Die gesammelten Spenden werden direkt in meine Ausbildung zum Verkehrspiloten fließen. Jede Unterstützung wird dazu beitragen, die Kosten für die Flugstunden, Prüfungsgebühren und notwendige Lehrmaterialien zu decken. Alle Spenden werden über die Plattform direkt auf ein sicheres Konto überwiesen, das ausschließlich für meine Ausbildungskosten genutzt wird.

Ich setze alles daran, die Spenden auf sinnvolle, verantwortungsbewusste und transparente Weise zu nutzen, um meine Ausbildung abzuschließen und ein zukünftiger Berufspilot zu werden. Ich werde Zwischenberichte geben, wie ich eure Spenden eingesetzt habe. Eure Unterstützung bedeutet mir mehr, als ich es in Worte fassen kann, und ich bin unendlich dankbar für jeden Beitrag, der meinen Traum näher rücken lässt. Ich benötige noch ca. 85.000 Euro, um die Ausbildung beenden zu können.

My name is Emre Avci, born on October 9th, 1996. As a passionate family man, I have been pursuing a long-held dream: to become a pilot. This desire is far more than just a career goal for me—it represents a deeply rooted vision for my future, one that will not only enrich my life but also expand my professional horizons. I am married and take great pride in being the father of my two-year-old daughter.

Currently, I work full-time at Frankfurt Airport in a customer service role, but my true passion lies in flying. In addition to my job, I am privately undergoing a demanding commercial pilot training program at the Air Alliance Flight Center GmbH in Egelsbach. In January, I already earned my PPL(A) license (Private Pilot License) and am now continuing my training with the goal of obtaining the ATPL(A) (Airline Transport Pilot License). At the moment, I am accumulating the required 100 flight hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) while also preparing intensively for the challenging ATPL theory exam, which I am studying for through distance learning. I manage all of this alongside my full-time job and my responsibilities as a husband and father. Currently, I have completed 11:02 hours as PIC out of the 100 hours required.

For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of guiding these “metal birds” through the skies. For me, there is nothing more fascinating than experiencing the boundless freedom and the feeling of weightlessness when hovering above the clouds. Flying is not just a profession for me, but a calling—a passion deeply rooted in my heart. Every flight is an expression of this enthusiasm and fills me with indescribable joy and fulfillment.

The following story marks the beginning of my decision to become a commercial pilot:

It was a flight with Lufthansa, an Airbus A321, on the way from Frankfurt to Istanbul, to the then-Atatürk Airport. I was still a small boy, about 4-5 years old. This flight left an indelible impression on me that motivates me to this day to pursue my dream of becoming a pilot myself. Throughout the flight, I sat more or less quietly in my seat, but inside, I was burning with excitement. I knew that soon I would land in the city where my roots lay, but something fascinated me even more—the airplane itself. The powerful engines, the wings slicing through the clouds, and the calm security the airplane radiated mesmerized me. When the flight ended, something happened that would shape my life forever: I was allowed to go up to the cockpit to greet the pilots. The cockpit lights were turned on, and there I stood, wide-eyed and in awe. I saw all the instruments, screens, and switches—it was all a wonder to me. This experience is deeply etched in my memory and laid the foundation for my decision to become a commercial pilot. Unfortunately, no photo was taken of me in the cockpit at that time.

This childhood experience continues to motivate me to pursue my dream, even when the path is difficult.

However, this dream also comes with significant financial challenges that I can hardly overcome alone with my full-time job and my roles as a father and husband. My pilot training requires a lot of time and energy, leading to overtime and sacrificing valuable family time. Despite my hard work, my income is not sufficient to cover the high costs of pilot training. At this point, I couldn’t complete my pilot training at an airline flight school for the following reasons: First, the airline was not training new pilots at the time I started (due to COVID-19); second, airlines were laying off pilots during that period. For these reasons, I took my training into my own hands. Since I already have my Private Pilot License (PPL), further training with the airlines is now closed off to me. That is why I turn to you, dear friends, family, and supporters, to stand by me on this journey. Every donation, no matter how small, helps bring my dream of flying closer and achieve my professional goals. Your support is not just a financial aid, but also a sign of faith in me and my dream.

The funds raised will go directly towards my commercial pilot training. Every bit of support will help cover the costs of flight hours, examination fees, and necessary study materials. All donations will be transferred directly to a secure account used exclusively for my training expenses.

I am committed to using the donations in a sensible, responsible, and transparent manner to complete my training and become a future commercial pilot. I will provide progress reports on how your donations are being used. Your support means more to me than I can express in words, and I am infinitely grateful for every contribution that brings my dream closer to reality. I still need around 85,000 euros to complete my training.
