Abhay Kotwal Public Service Fellowship Fund

Tax deductible
Our son Abhay Kotwal passed away on June 8th, 2017. Abhay was a fearless attorney representing elderly New Yorkers at an organization known as JASA. Abhay's mission was to lead a life of service. Whether it was helping the elderly of New York, making sure the homeless had access to the proper resources or pro bono immigration work. In order to make sure Abhay's legacy lives on for just causes, our family has established a non-profit called the Abhay Kotwal ESQ Fund Inc.

We have partnered with St. John's Law School, where Abhay attended, to start the Abhay Kotwal ' 15 Public Service Fellowship Fund. This fund will provide annual fellowships to qualified/or deserving Law students. The fellowship will focus on helping the elderly and immigration services.  Fellowship Fund will be an Endowment Fund. The assets comprising this Fund shall be invested and reinvested as part of the general investment funds of St John's University School of Law, New York. Abhay Kotwal graduated from St John’s University in 2015.

Preference shall be given to a student who obtains a position at Legal Services for Elderly in Queens/JASA, with a second preference for immigration services or a like Organization. We'd like to thank you in advance for any donations you make to help us reach our goal.
