Help Aberford C of E Primary School get a new trim trail
Aberford C of E Primary School's PTA help fund many things for the school that benefit our children, like workshop days and additional curriculum resources as well as the Year 6 leavers' jumpers and their end of year trip. However at the moment, this is as far as our funds can stretch - and we'd love to do even more, and with your help, we're sure we can.
The large project we're aiming to fund is replacing the school's trim trail on the school field.
This much loved, well used piece of equipment is nearly at the end of its life and will cost around £10,000 to fully replace, ensuring that it's safe to use while our school children continue to enjoy it.
Why are we replacing the trim trail?
Not only is the trim trail a fun-filled part of our playground, but having one that our children can use helps develop:
- Physical development, by building strength, balance and coordination
- Mental wellbeing, by boosting confidence and reducing anxiety through active play
- Social skills, through teamwork and friendship through shared adventures
- Learning opportunities, helping to take the classroom concepts outdoors for active learning
Our current situation
Our existing playground equipment has served hundreds of children over the years, but time has taken its toll. While still safe, it's limited in scope and doesn't offer the challenging, engaging play experience our children deserve.
