Abel's Music Ambassador Fund

Music is a universal language that bonds people of all cultures and encourages educational advancement.

This is Abel Walesby. He was recently nominated for Colorado's Music Ambassadors for an incredible once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform in 5 countries in Europe in 2026.

For anyone that knows Abel, you know that music is one of the most important aspects of his life. His free time is spent practicing his saxophone, playing music for the many band classes he enrolls in, or just having fun on his guitar, piano, or any other instrument he can get his hands on. He has won his auditions for high school jazz band, as well as wind ensemble (an audition-based concert band). He is truly talented, with an extreme passion for music.

This program would give Abel an opportunity to play with other talented musicians while getting to experience the different cultures throughout Europe. This trip can change Abel's life, and we truly want him to have this experience.

As with all things, this opportunity comes with a price tag. We are doing what we can to assist financially, but the cost is still a struggle. I'm asking from a deep place in my heart for help to get this young man to Europe.

If you can give anything at all (even some words of encouragement), it would be appreciated in more ways than I can express, though please know I will definitely express how I can. We are setting a goal of $10,000 (with a starting goal of $2000), though part of this is for other expenses that are not part of the initial program cost, such as food, souvenirs, checked baggage (baritone saxophones are quite large), travel costs for rehearsals before the trip, uniforms, etc. Again, any donation is appreciated. Even a little means a lot!
