Abel Simmons
Donation protected
My name is Beez and I am a friend of Abel's family. I had the honor of knowing Abel since he was breaking ankles on the court in Rezball 1st-3rd. On 3/21/24 our lives were changed forever. Abel Simmons had an unexpected and tragic accident, which led to him being ambulanced to Carson Valley Medical Center. We were told that the outlook wasn't good and there was a slim chance that anything could be done. CVMC made the decision to care flight him to Renown where neurologists would do a more thorough exam to see what they could do. When we arrived at Renown we were told there was a lot of swelling to his brain. With the lack of oxygen, there was no brain activity which led to life support. We were hopeful for a full recovery until today, where we made the decision to set him free and also save another life with donating his organs. They immediately found a match for him.
Abel left behind his mom Cheryl, dad Abel, sister Lala, Beeza, baby sister Taya, his bad nephew Kain aka “Moose”, his one and only Onie, and two young daughters Daynie (8) and Samayah (3).
Abel had a huge heart and loved his family and friends and community. He was always there to support or help in any way he could. Donating his organs seems only right, allowing him one final chance to give and this time he will be giving someone else another chance at life. Abel battled with addiction for years and he was able to overcome and survived that monster. His life was cut short and words cannot express what a man he became and he will be sorely missed. I'm asking for anything to help his little family out and this was obviously such a shock to help cover funeral expenses and such. Thank you
