Abel Sandoval Memorial to Support his beloved Lisa

Early Friday morning on August 7th, 2020, our dear friend Abel Sandoval went home to his Lord and Savior. Hard to put into words what he meant to those who knew him. He was many things to many people. A coworker, a friend, a U.S. Navy Vet, an innovator, a mentor, the Red Bull Guy, before that the Pepsi Guy, Batman to his RESQWATER Family, a Son, a Cousin, an Uncle, a champion black belt, a Brother, a Husband, a Believer and undoubtly the title he loved the most... A Father.
Abel was very private about his battle with cancer. He battled for a long time without it being public knowledge. He never felt the need to share because he had set his mind on one thing... beating it. That is how he was when he set his mind on something -- laser focused on the mission at hand. It was one of his superpowers. He fought an incredible fight for as long as he could for his family.
He made beautiful plans about the life he was going to live out with the love of his life Lisa Troutman and their beautiful family they brought together. Defeat was not an option. The Drs and Nurses were constantly in awe of his strength and the love they saw between Abel and his Guardian Angel Lisa. He shared with those close constantly that she was the reason he was still alive... her care and advocacy kept him going and literally in more than one occasion saved his life. Lisa worked a full time job, helped care for their kids, care for their home, and was his full time care taker traveling back and forth from City of Hope. She was the calm in his storm. Her mere presence bedside in his final days helped regulate his vitals after they had started to crash... nurses couldn't believe what they saw when that happened. She was his rock through all of this and now is facing life without her partner by her side.
This kind of loss is unimaginable for most. To watch the strongest person you know suffer like that is a pain we hope many never know.
Abel's family was the most important thing in his life. We feel as his tribe and community that we are being called upon to help support Lisa in his death. We are hoping that we as a community can raise some funds to help give Lisa some breathing room as she faces this next chapter without her other half. Funds will support the ability to have a memorial service as well as cover any expenses they have incurred with this loss.
$1, $5, $10 whatever you can give would be greatly appreciated. Lisa and Abel have been some of the most generous people in our lives and we hope to pay that back ten fold. Abel Sandoval left an imprint on many of our hearts during his short time earth side. It is our hope we can honor him and his hope that his family would be taken care of by those that know and love him in his absence.
