Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the sudden and devastating loss of Abe Mitchell to suicide on 2/24/2024. He was 41 years old and leaves behind a wife and four children; As a family we are devastated by his final actions. He was a much-loved son, brother, father, uncle, and friend.

As we come together to mourn Abe’s loss, we are reaching out to you for support. Through this page, We are hoping to help ease the financial burdens that lay ahead. All of the funds raised will go directly towards funeral costs. Any money exceeding funeral costs will be put toward his family wife and children, who are going to have a long challenging road ahead coping with the new reality of life without Abe.

I am also hoping to bring light to the suicide epidemic-- such a permanent decision often made because of a temporary problem, has a lifelong devastating ripple effect on the loved ones left behind. For anyone who needs to hear this please know you are not alone, you are loved, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. There is always hope and brighter days ahead.

The outpouring of love and support from friends and the community during this unimaginably difficult time means the world to us.
