Abdullah Al-Akkad

Abdullah, 26, has a catastrophic injury to his foot that needs ongoing surgeries so that he can walk again. A few years ago he owned and operated a small grocery store, and now he is living alone and unhoused without post-op medical support in Khan Yunis Al-Mawasi. He has had repeated painful infections to his foot and leg, so he has difficulty doing normal activities of life such as walking or getting food. He has been forcibly evacuated three times, and tragically 29 members of his family were killed recently in a bombing. He is currently recovering from invasive surgery, and because he has prioritized his medical care he has been unable to get food at all for days at a time. He has a medically necessary diet and it has been a heavy burden that he is not getting proper nutrition. In the future he hopes to operate a small shop, but for how his focus is on urgent medical care and essential items like food, water, a tent and clothing.

All funds will be sent to Abdullah regularly via electronic transfer or bank transfer. The funds will be used for a series of five surgeries, regular medical care, physical therapy, and medical equipment. Funds will also be used for basic essential supplies of life in Gaza such as food, water and shelter. Prices of everything have escalated rapidly due to extreme shortages of food, medical supplies and all other items.
