Abdoul Aziz Sarr

On July 5, 2025, a bright young Muslim teenager, beloved in our Masjid community was fatally stabbed near Eastern and Coxwell Avenues, just steps from Woodbine Park and inside the local McDonald’s. Tragically, he was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries but later succumbed to his wounds.

This devastating loss has sent shockwaves through our Masjid and the wider community. He was a kind, respectful, and responsible young man, well known for his constant presence at the Masjid, volunteering for events, helping clean and maintain the space, and always answering the call for help without hesitation. His character reflected humility, sincerity, and a strong sense of service to his faith and community.

He was a regular face during Friday prayers, programs and Ramadan nights. His quiet dedication and willingness to help set a beautiful example for others. He had his whole life ahead of him, a future filled with hope, potential, and purpose.

His family is now facing unbearable grief, not only emotional trauma but also sudden financial needs:
