To say that living and working in Guinea left an imprint on our (Andrew and Ryan) lives would be an understatement. We cherish the relationship with our host family that started nearly 13 years ago and continues to this day. It is very exciting to tell you that our youngest host brother, Abdourahamane Balde, recently was accepted to go to University in Europe! Abdourahamane excelled at school, always finishing in the top three of his class, and was always determined to make a better life for himself and family. He is truly a smart, motivated, and exceptional young man.
Abdourahamane grew up in a rural subsistence village in Guinea where his family's only source of income was farming onions. Needless to say, his family does not have the means to send him to university (they survive on a few dollars a day) which is why we are hoping you can help make his dream of education become a reality. We aim to raise $8,000 to pay for school fees, tuition, a plane ticket and a passport. Your generous donation, however small or large it might be, will change the course of Abdourahamane's life and help break the cycle of poverty. Thank you for your donation!
