In Loving Memory of Abdirahman 'Abdi' Mohamed Yusuf

Hello dearest friends and family of Abdirahman Mohamed Yusuf,

It is with a broken heart that we announce Abdi's passing.

There aren't words to articulate the loss we are feeling right now. Abdi was larger than life. He was brave and kind, he was funny, he was stylish, and he was always, always there for his friends. His laugh and his smile were contangious; his hugs healed your soul. Though he has left this earth, he will always be with us. Everytime you feel the sun on your skin, Abdi is with you. He is in our hearts forever.

Be there for each other, the way Abdi was always there for us. Abdi was never afraid to tell his friends that he loved them, as often as he could. Tell your friends, family, and your chosen families, that you love them. Tell them often, the way Abdi did. Cherish each other, the way we cherished Abdi, and the way he cherished us.

Abdi's funeral and burial were held on Sunday the 27th of April. We are collecting funds for Abdi's family to cover funeral costs and memorial services. Anything you can donate, no matter how large or small, will be deeply appreciated, and will help his family through this difficult time. For those of you who have already sent through your donations directly, we thank you, and they have already been passed on to the family.

His Memorial Service will be held on Sunday the 4th of May, at 298 Beach Rd, Black Rock VIC 3193. It will begin at 10am.

A note from Kayleigh:

I am putting together a memorial photo album of Abdi. If you have photos you would like to share, please send them through, either on Facebook, or through the contact details provided on this GoFundMe. You're also welcome to share the stories of those photos. It will be some time before this project is finsished, as a multitude of photos are already pouring in, as he was loved by so, so many. I also want to make sure everyone has the time to share their photos, so it will be about a month before I finish this project. I will do my absolute best to include as many photos and memories as I can. At the very least, I can promise that every individual who shares a photo will be included. If you have lots of photos, please be sure to indicate which ones are your favourites. When I am done, I will make the details available on where to view it online, or how to purchase a hard copy. Any photos that aren't included in the hard copy will be included in the downloadable digitial album.
