From Abby;
I started getting chronically ill 1 week after my grandma passed away. It was rough losing her because we were very close. So, with not feeling well and missing my grandma it was a lot at one time. I eventually could not walk and needed a wheelchair, walker, and many more mobility aids to help me with day to day life. Being a teenager with so many things just to get through the day is hard to process, but now I have come to realize that there are people here to help me have the best quality of life possible. I take at least 15 pills a day, and before this I took none. I have now over 8 specialists… I am on medical leave now, but I still do need to graduate 7th grade. This has changed our lives, and turned it upside down, but you never how strong you are until you have to be. I have been told I am crazy, faking, and it's all in my head. Everyone thought it was conversion disorder and I was crazy. Well, after 8 months of wondering I have been diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, Ehlers- Danlos Syndrome, PANDAS, an ovarian cyst, incomplete spinal fusion, and still looking into more! My mom, family, and friends have helped me through this soo much, I can't imagine doing this without them. My mom had to make the sweetest, but toughest decision to quit the job she loved to take care of me, and my dad is working overtime to awesomely support us as much as he can. We are waiting to hear back from social security for my disabilities, and any help we can receive until then would be much appreciated.
Thanks so much, even a small donation helps!
