Abby's Last Hope: A Car for Her Son's Return
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Abby Safer. As most of you know, I am a recovering addict and I have a few years clean now, which I’m very proud of, but I’m still fighting for custody of my son and my last court date to get him back is in October.
The three stipulations the judge put on me to get him back were that I had to have my own car, my own place, and a job. Until two days ago, I had all of that. The car that I had, the engine caught on fire, and it was terrifying. I am so lucky that none of my kids were in the car with me. I only had liability, so insurance isn’t going to do anything about it.
If I don’t have a car, I can’t get to work to pay my bills, and if I can’t pay my bills, I’m gonna lose my place of residence. If that happens, I’ll lose my son. I found a car for $2500. I know times are tough for everyone right now, and I swore I’d never do one of these things, but I don’t know what to do anymore, so I’m gonna try anything because I want my son back more than anything.
If you can donate, trust me, from the bottom of my heart, I am so grateful. If you can’t, that’s OK. Prayers are always welcome. Thank you so much.
