Help Abby Fight Cancer-- Again
Hi, my name is Kristen, and I’m the proud mom of a fierce and beautiful 14-year-old warrior named Abby.
Abby’s battle with cancer began before she could even walk. At just 11 months old, she was diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma...cancer in both eyes. After months of chemo, surgeries, and ultimately the removal of one eye, she beat the odds and was declared cancer-free. We were so hopeful that chapter was over.
But now, more than a decade later, cancer has come back into our lives in the cruelest way.
Abby has just been diagnosed with B-Cell ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia). Doctors believe this is a secondary cancer—caused by the very chemotherapy that saved her life as a baby.
Our hearts are broken. And we are exhausted. But Abby? She is ready to fight again.
This journey will be long and intense. Abby has already started treatment and will need extended hospital stays, frequent clinic visits, and specialized care.
We need help.
Medical bills and insurance costs are piling up.
We need help with food, gas, and travel expenses for treatment.
My younger son Declan needs care and stability while I’m at the hospital with Abby.
I won’t be able to take FMLA when school starts in August, but I have to keep my job to maintain our insurance.
Every dollar, every share, and every prayer means the world right now. Please help me stay by Abby’s side as she fights this second battle. Let’s show her that she’s not alone.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
