Abby's Final National Team Journey

My name is Abby, and I’m a senior finishing out my last season of high school wrestling. I’ve been incredibly lucky to represent Team Texas at national tournaments over the years, this year earning 1st TX Freestyle state.

This summer, I have one last opportunity to compete at the national level before I head off to college, and what makes it even more special is that my mom has been selected to coach the Team Texas National Team. Sharing this experience with her means the world to me.

My parents always go above and beyond to support every opportunity I want to chase so I can compete again the best in the nation. They do everything they can to fund my travel, training, and tournament costs — often without asking anyone for help. But I know it’s not easy on them, and this time I want to do my part to help.

I’ve applied for jobs, and while I haven’t secured one yet, I’m doing everything I can to contribute. That’s why I’m asking for your support. My summer national team events cost $2,200, which covers National Duals and Fargo.

Any donation — no matter how small — would help me get one step closer to competing at my final national events with Team Texas, while also easing some of the stress on my family. Thank you so much for supporting me on and off the mat.
