Abby's Medical Fund
Hello, my name is Veronica and I am fundraising for one of my dearest friends Patti and her beautiful daughter Abby. Abby, a 10 year old twin, was born with Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome and has outgrown her current treatment plan resulting in the need for a cardiac ablation. The surgery has had to be rescheduled twice due to COVID with the last instance pushing the surgery date past an insurance cutoff that will require the family to pay a large portion of the procedure out of pocket. Unfortunately Wes, the father, was laid off from his employer of 21 years this past January and has only recently found a contract position. Patti works as school secretary for PISD and her pay goes towards medical insurance for the family. Abby's new surgery date is October 4th, 2021 and I would love to help relieve this burden for the family.
I have known Patti, Wes, Alex, Max and Abby for 6 years and they are truly one of the most generous families you will every meet. They are always the first to offer their time, food, gift cards and other support to those in need, whether they know you or not. One time during our many talks, I mentioned I was concerned about a friend of mine who was having trouble paying her rent and the next thing I know Patti was giving me money to pass on to my friend. Their love and compassion for others has no end. It is time to return the favor. Individually there is only so much one person can do but together I believe we can move mountains and help this amazing family during a stressful time. No amount is too small.
When I approached Patti and Wes about setting this up for them Wes had one request. If there is any money left after the medical bills are paid for Abby's cardiac ablation 100% of those funds will be used for the families mission work in Honduras. The Keller's have a long been supporting at risk families and youth in Honduras and travel there as often as they are able.
