Abby's Army
Donation protected
Despite a love affair with our hair, this weekend we plan to set this aside for a far greater love, the love we have for our niece.
In support of Abby and many others living with leukaemia, PT and I will be shaving our beloved locks in an effort to raise both social awareness and much needed funding for 2 wonderful charities.
Abby has personally chosen these charities. In her own words “they help all kids with all types of cancer.”
With or without hair, join ‘Abby’s Army’ and please help us reach our fundraising goal!
The Children's Cancer Council
A child’s welfare is our main priority. We fund clinical research, clinical care and provide family support to ensure the highest standards of diagnosis, treatment and support for both child and family.
While our focus is largely research based, we believe that it is the little things – a child’s access to art and music therapy – that can significantly help a child on their cancer journey.
Challenge
Most children have trouble understanding what is happening to their bodies and can find the treatment process emotionally and physically draining. The experience has an overwhelming impact on everyone associated with that child.
Our promise is to deliver practical, personalised services of exceptional quality to ensure that children and families living with cancer are well supported throughout their cancer journey.
