Abby Suchodolski Leinbach - Kidney Transplant

Hi, my name is Bobbi Myers and I am raising money on behalf of my friend Abby Leinbach and her sister Ashley Suchodolski.

Abby is a daughter, sister, wife, and mother to three daughters. We met in the Mothers of Multiples club as we both have twins. In October 2021, Abby found out her kidney function was not normal during a routine exam. After several more doctor appointments, tests, and a biopsy, she was diagnosed with Stage IV Kidney failure in January 2022. Her doctors recommended looking for a Living Donor before she needed to start dialysis. Abby's younger sisters, Amanda and Ashley, immediately volunteered to be screened and both were a match. Ashley was chosen as the preferred donor. The kidney transplant is scheduled on October 26th at the University of Michigan.

Abby is fortunate enough to have insurance to cover both surgeries. She has time available so her job is secure during recovery. Ashley, however, will not have any time paid off of work and will need to miss 6-8 weeks as she is recovering from the donation. I am hoping to raise money to help her out with her lost wages, living, and travel expenses so neither Ashley or Abby have to worry about this going into surgery.
