“Friends, family, followers, please give me a moment of your time. I've tried avoiding this with all my power but it seems I cannot and you all should know.
Our mom Abby Safer has been in mountain side hospital since sunday March 29, she went in due to a pre-existing condition that makes it very hard for her to stop vomiting.
Early tuesday morning March 31, our mother started having complications breathing and the people at the hospital felt it best to put her on a ventilator after moving her into the corona virus ward (she has tested negative for the virus twice, it was not the virus).
She went into cardiac arrest not long after the ventilator was put in place. Unfortunately she flatlined for over 5 minutes but they were able to get a heartbeat back and stabilized her.
She has been on life supprt since then. She has a DNR (do not resuscitate) order in place as she is to weak for CPR again, and is completely unresponsive.
Two nights ago she had a seizure while on life support and it doesn't seem like she is improving.
I am no doctor, neither are any family members, but I feel it best you all know what's going on and where we stand from here on out.
