Abby Lynn

Thank you for visiting this GoFundMe page. My name is Arlene and I'm the aunt of a sweet and outgoing 7-year-old little girl, Abby Lynn. If you know Abby personally, you know how vibrant this child is. She loves you hard and gives the best hugs. No matter what this girl is going through, she has a smile on her face. She loves the color pink and I'm pretty sure she would eat candy all day if you let her.

In September of 2022, at the request of one of her doctors, Abby had a PET scan done on a tumor that was developing on her neck. The PET scan showed activity that was not what the doctors wanted to see. From there, she was scheduled to have a biopsy done on the tumor to find out if it was malignant.

On December 7, my sister, Amy Kleinbach and her fiance, Jon Harmon received results that no parent would ever want to receive. The tumor was cancer. From there, it's been a whirlwind of appointments, CT Scans, MRIs, more PET Scans, Tumor review board meetings, meetings with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists and the list goes on.

Most of these appointments have been at UVA Hospital, located in Charlottesville, VA - it's about an hour and fifteen-minute drive, maybe longer depending on the time of day. Some of the appointments will be in Fairfax, VA - which is 2.5 - 3 hours away.

As a family, we've been asked by many people how they can help. First, we need everyone to pray! Second, we think a great way to help would be financial gifts to help with the cost of gas; going to and from daily, they've been filling their gas tank every other day. Financial gifts will also help with meals - when going to these appointments, they're often picking up breakfast, lunch and/or dinner on their way to or from the appointments.
