We have a Firecracker softball family in need of some support. Some of you may know that one of my players, Abby Jenkins, was diagnosed with an ailment a few months ago that has prevented her from playing softball since the first of the year. This particular ailment has put her in Children's Healthcare of Atlanta for over a month and has nessitated the family to move her to a medically monitored facility in Denver, CO...where she has been for the past 6 weeks. Georgia did not have the necessary facilities to provide the proper care in the next stage of her treatment.

Abby is still expected to continue the program in Denver and will do so for another couple of months.

Abby is progressing well and hopefully will be cleared to come back to Atlanta before the summer is over.

I know if we really take this to heart, we can make a significant difference in this family's life...as well as confirm what the Georgia Softball Community is all about. I have failth in the Softball families that we come in contact with each in every weekend that we can all work together to bring this special young lady back home to Atlanta and back on the softball diamond where she belongs.
