Hi, my name is Abbie & I live with numerous life long & life limiting Chronic Illnesses, some of which have almost led to me loosing my life on numerous occasions. For the past 11 years my amazing Mum has been my Main Carer but back in October after Mum having had 2 Ischemic Strokes we hit crisis point & the time had come for me and my Assistance Dog Alfie to start searching for our Forever Home. A week before Christmas me and my Boy had to leave the family home & spent 2 weeks in the fully furnished assessment flat at Parkland View Extra Care Supported Living a place where I began to thrive, redound my happiness, a touch of more independence and a place where I was thriving and growing every single day. Unfortunately me and my Beautiful Boy Alfie had to leave Parklands as there were no flats ready at that current time for us to move straight into. This led to me having to reside at a friends house and my beautiful boy having to go back to live with my Mum until such time as we could be rehoused. This has been an incredibly traumatic, harrowing experience; one full of uncertainty about my future. On Friday 9th January God Blessed me with a phone call to tell me that as of Monday 12th January me and my beautiful boy can be reunited and move back to Parkland View Extra Care Supported Living a place- a place that will now become my Forever Home!

The flat that we are moving into is unfurnished and due to my current situation and circumstances over the past few months, I have also hit financial difficulties and hardship and so I wanted to set up a Go Fund Me Page for anyone who would like to support me and Alfie on this next chapter of our journey by way of helping find the fund to fully furnish our brand new forever home.

It is my birthday in March and so those who would usually send me a card or a present l, the best gift I could receive this year would be a donation (no matter how big or how small) to help me fully furnish mine and Alfie’s forever home and turn it into our safe haven where we can love, laugh, play & have endless amounts of fun and snuggles!
