Abbey's AdVANce to Independence
Donation protected
She is getting closer! We can use your help with this drive towards her independence. YOUR donations, shares, comments, & likes inspire others to give.
Paralyzed from the chest down, Abbey lives with quadriplegia. In her words, that's not who or what she is, but, rather, a simple way to convey her daily hurdles.
The purpose of this campaign is to raise enough money to purchase a newer side-entry wheelchair van, to transport her to & from law school classes at Duke Univ., social activities, internships, community events, jobs, medical & rehab appointments, and family visits.
Her progress in the last 22 months has amazed us. She starts at Duke Law in August. Her current van (named “Timbo” after its generous donor) hauled thousands of wheelchair-bound kids for two decades before being given to her. It's older than her. It now needs replacement.
Whether you've been on Abbey's journey since 08.13.21 or just joined us, you'll probably agree that she inspires us.
With much love, thank you.
