It's Christmas! A time to give to others who have real substantial needs. We have had a tragedy in our family. Our nephew's (Christopher Michaelis) daughter, Abigail (Abbey) Lynn, lost her mother (Christy Lynn) to cancer a couple of months ago. She is 22 years old and has been trying to figure a way forward. She has her mother's home, which has a mortgage. With taxes and payments, Abbey can't afford to live with the expenses of everyday life, utilities, car insurance, gas, and food, with no ability to pay the mortgage and taxes. She was very close with her mother and cannot leave the house and its memories of her. We are seeking donations to help Abbey pay toward the mortgage, pay for taxes and save money for graduate school. She is a very bright student and would like to study forensic psychology. Unfortunately, her father, Christopher, cannot offer her any financial support besides a one-time gift from his mother's (Lauretta Sammarco) death a month ago. He was willing to split this with Abbey to help with her GoFundMe account. He's reeling from the loss of Christy (they maintained a close friendship as they co-parented Abby) and has been unable to work himself due to the loss and resulting depression.
There is no financial support for Abbey at this time other than her full-time job making slightly over minimum wage. Although she has aunts and uncles who have been assisting her in any way they can, no one is in a position to take care of her financial needs without the help of this fund. Abbey is overwhelmed, suffering intense grief and feels very hopeless and despairing being alone to fend for herself. She needs people to reach out to her through this GoFundMe opportunity to get her to a place where she can support herself. All size donations add up quickly. We hope you will consider the extreme loss Abbey has suffered and will reach out to help her go forward to capture her dreams for her future. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
