Hi my name is Haytham and I am fundraising for my friend Ali and his family.

Our story began on October 7th, the day the bombs started falling over Gaza. We clung to the hope that it would end soon, that everything would somehow be okay. But it didn't. The bombings intensified, and tanks rolled into Gaza, forcing us to abandon our home. Desperate for safety, we fled to the north, but in Gaza, there is no true sanctuary. We took refuge at my cousin's house, seeking solace amidst the chaos.

Weeks later, our home was reduced to rubble by relentless bombings. The north was besieged, and we faced the cruel reality of dwindling food and water. On December 12, a fleeting moment of hope emerged when the siege lifted briefly. Our father Asaad and brother Ali ventured out to buy medicine and food, but that hope was shattered. Our father never returned. He was martyred that day, standing on the street with a 70-year-old man and a seven-year-old child, all victims of an airstrike. In one brutal moment, our 62-year-old father was taken from us. We couldn't even bury him in a proper burials we buried him in a small land next to my cousin's house.

Now, it is just our mother Amal and brother Ali left from our family in Gaza and our youngest brother Mohammed in Egypt who is studying Medicine and now couldn't afford to pay university fees

. The north's lifeline was cut off again, and survival became impossible. We had no choice but to escape. We trekked tens of miles to Deir al-Balah in the south, driven by sheer desperation. We now crowd into a relative's house, thirty to forty people sharing a single bathroom, cooking over wood fires, and enduring endless darkness without electricity.

My mother, already ailing before the war, has grown gravely ill. The situation is dire—no hospitals are functional, and she desperately needs medical attention abroad. She needs to escape Gaza, to find the care that can save her life.
