መጋቢ አበው አባ ገብረ ማርያም ቢሰውር ለአገልግሎት ሰሜን አሜሪካ ከገቡበት ጊዜ አንስቶ በተለያዩ አብያተክርስቲያናት በአስተዳዳሪነት፤ በስብከተ ወንጌልና በማሕሌት እያገለገሉ የቆዩ ሲሆን፤ ከዛሬ አራት ዓመት በፊት ባገጠማቸው ሕመም ምክንያት ከነበራችው የቤተክርስቲያን ኃላፊነት ራሳችውን አግለልው ያለምንም ገቢና ክፍያ በአሜሪካ መንግሥት እርዳታ እየኖሩ በሜኔሶታን አካባቢው ሁሉ ባሉ አብያተክርስቲያናት በበጎ ፈቃደኝነት ሲያገለግሉ ኖረው ሚያዚያ 6/2011 ዓ.ም  ሮችስተር ሚኔሶታ በሚገኘው ከተማ በመኖርያ ቤታቸው ሞተው ትገኝተዋል። ስለዚህ በሰሜን አሜሪካ እና በተለያዩ ከተሞች የምትኖሩ ትውልደ ኢትዮጵያውያን በተለይም ደግሞ የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋህዶ አማኝ ክርስቲያኖች አስክሬናቸው ወደ ኢትዮጵያ ሊልክ ስለሆነ የገንዘብ እርዳታ እንድታደርጉ ስንል በትሕትና እንጠይቃለን።

Megabi Abew Abba Gebre Mariam Bisewir started serving The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo Church from the moment he arrived in the United States in various positions from Church Administrator to Preaching the Gospel.

After falling ill about 4 years ago, he removed himself from the position of Administrator but continued to serve the church in different capacities around Minnesota.  All the services he provided were without pay. 

On April 14, 2019, we lost our beloved Father.  He was found deceased in his home in Rochester Minnesota.

We ask that all who knew him especially those that follow The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Faith to assist with his wishes of making his homeland, Ethiopia, his final resting place. 

We have opened a GoFundMe page to help with the funeral arrangement costs.
