A B Autos start up campaign

Thank You to everyone who is taking the time to view, share, and encourage our startup journey!  Consider giving a donation that encourages a young black entrepreneurial business. We are a small used car company that offers auto sales, auto consignment.  We are preparing to launch in the next few months and endeavor to raise $7,000 dollars in donations to help cover key start-up costs by Spring 2021. 


THIS IS OUR STORY

Anyone who knows me will remember, from the time I was able to organize my thoughts I’ve been designing and creating income generating entrepreneurial activities and businesses! ...from bake sales,  to naturalist clubs, and cooking camps; you name itI’ve had my hands in it.   I’ve always known that the best job for me is one that I lead; one that is an extension of my interests, passions, and effort.  My partner and I both have experienced lots of trial and error in our retail and foodservice jobs.  In retail, we observed how little we receive compared to how much of our time and energy we give. We are ready to shift this paradigm. The turning point for me was in high school when it was time for me to start thinking about my first car.  I noticed my pursuit for a car was more than the average 16 year old just wanting some wheels. I was interested in the cars themselves, how they worked, and how to fix them up.  By the time I was turning 18, I had 3 cars sitting outside of my house.  This naturally evolved into the next stage of my interest which was selling them!  Since then I have been casually buying and selling cars over the last year.  This year, because of COVID and the extra time (and perspective),  my partner and I decided to make this casual pursuit into a legitimate business.  Our goal is to succeed in vehicle retail, to grow in business ownership, invest in more entrepreneurial activities, and to one day achieve financial freedom. 


WHAT WE HAVE ACCOMPLISHED SO FAR

Over the last 4 months, we have been organizing, filing for, and completing all the applications we need to launch our business.  This includes the lengthy and expensive process of getting the licenses and permits needed to sell cars in California.  We also completed all DMV required webinars.  We have secured a dealership location. We have scouted the best locations where we will be purchasing used cars. We have also found mechanics and auto detailers that will be working with us to triage and fix up our inventory.


WHAT WE WILL NEED NEXT

After consistently working on and passionately learning about our business and trade, we are clear that the next step is to bolster a financial foundation.  With your investment, we will be able  to take the necessary steps to scale and launch our business with more security and confidence.  Your donations will give us the agility to work with the ebb and flow of a new business. The funds we acquire will go to building our auto inventory, buying office supplies, auto transportation, and signage for our dealership.  Last but not least, with your support we will have a vital  cushion for the initial mechanic costs needed to ensure our commitment to quality and reliability.
