Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Documentary Film

My name is John McCreary and I am a photographer, videographer and cinematographer. I recently crossed paths with someone I became very close and very good friends with. All the while, this person is actually dying slowly. I learned they had Multiple Sclerosis and for a time, they lost functionality in their legs. This person has rehabilitated and can walk and run again, unless having a flare-up from the MS. This person has to go through numerous treatments while still their Brain and Central Nervous System attack them daily.

Over 200 people are diagnosed with MS weekly in the US alone. The reason that number isn't higher is because of a combination of people ignoring symptoms, misdiagnoses and a failing Healthcare system here in the United States, where the testing and treatments are often not covered. MS is an illness not taken seriously but is stripping people from their families, work and lifestyle. Because of this, awareness about Multiple Sclerosis needs to be brought to the world.

The Fundraising for this docuseries is low (for a film) because I have much of the gear already. The remaining is for travel and lodging to interview MS Warriors, and minor gear like portable power, some Lights, Microphones and Lens Filters. Excess money over the goal would go to further marketing and awareness of both the Documentary Series and other programs to help fight this disease
