Abass Camara Emergency Funeral Fund
Donation protected
Our beloved Afrikan son, Abass Camara, passed suddenly on March 19, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The community he joined and served here in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is helping his family to raise the approximately $11,000 needed for funeral and legal expenses by the end of March. Abass will be interred on March 30, in Ann Arbor, where he most recently lived and worked. Ceremonies are also required to be conducted by his family in Guinea so that his soul may rest.
Abass was a bright light that shone on the adults and children he taught as a master instructor with the Three Rivers Jenbé Ensemble. This respectful, humble young man was a brilliant musician, outstanding community servant, loving father, and Brother to many. We who knew Abass carry his light with us.
Help us to honour him in his stillness as he honoured us with his magnanimous vitality.
