On 11/10/2018 I received a call about an abandoned, injured cat who was roaming around an apartment complex. I was told the cat had been abandoned months ago, and was constantly being kicked around and mistreated by the residents. When I arrived I saw the cat, now named Indigo, on the concrete floor next to a car. I assumed he was dead since he looked horrible and had flies swarming all over him. When I approached him he got up and immediately started nuzzling me. He was a complete sweetheart. Upon inspecting him he had wounds all over his back. One wound was old, while two puncture wounds were fresh. The old wound was expelling puss, and covered in dried blood. The new wounds were still fresh, and bleeding. I immediately transferred him to the vet. Upon inspection of the vet, I was told the old wound was from being skinned. The new wounds were from being attacked by a big dog, which punctured him on both sides. I have no idea what this cat has been through, however he still remains a complete sweetheart. Indigo has a long road to recovery, and needs your help. His vet bills are totaling more than $2,000. We were able to put up $1,500 for his services, but the remaining amount has not yet been paid. Please help in any way that you can.
