Abandoned Rabbits in the 707 and Elder Cedar
Donation protected
Hello, My name is Stephanie and I would like to set up this crowd funding effort to help with the financial costs associated with Vet Visits for the 18 ( plus babies ) Rabbits who were dumped in the 707/Elder Cedar.
If you haven't heard already, early last week a member of our community and his dog came across a group of rabbits in the elder cedar parking lot. These rabbits, were obviously pet rabbits, who were poorly cared for - they have injuries to their ears, legs & two for sure were pregnant- and then dumped. A second location was discovered in the entrance to the 707.
With one community member giving up copious amounts of his time to catch these rabbits - for their own welfare as well as the saving these areas from the environmental impact of introducing an invasive species - as well as a group of others helping to foster, home, get medical care and in one case humanely euthanize, I thought I would reach out the the community for help with the financial burden associated with trying to help these animals. $5 or $10 or anything you can afford, would really help.
To the person who did this, please know that you've caused stress, and burden to members of your community, as well as potentially putting the ecosystem at risk by introducing a species that multiplies quickly ( TWO of these rabbits were pregnant) not to mention the trauma to these Animals, who deserve better.
We are still looking for homes or fosters for Rabbits. Please reach out to me if you have any availability to help.
