Abandoned Property - Starving Cats in Need

Hello Cat Community and Animal Lovers! My name is Lisa. I, along side a few other trappers, have been working on an extremely large cat project. This is an abandoned property full of starving, malnourished and sick cats. I didn’t know the twists and turns this property entailed until once I was involved. How could I turn away? I would come to learn this colony lacked a full time feeder, leading to many cats dealing with starvation, flea infestations and parasites. The cats have been drinking the pool water, which is overrun with algae. The majority of cats on this property had not been fixed and many of them are friendly. As much as TNR was needed, they really are in desperate need of rescue!

We have taken from this property over the last 4 weeks, 23 cats & kittens, including moms with babies! They have been put into different foster homes. We have also TNRD, and continue to TNR, non adoptable cats, as well as providing food to them daily since there wasn’t a caretaker for the colony. There is still more friendly cats in need there! Since the starting of this project, we have experienced cats being stuck in the house and ceiling as well as a cat being left inside a carrier on the property. Our most recent rescue cat, pulled from the ceiling is just 3.5 pounds when she should be 7-8 lbs. She is just skin & bones and extremely dehydrated.

There is a cat with a leg injury, likely in need of amputation. There is another that can’t seem to keep his eyes open long, leading me to think he may have eyelid agenesis, needing surgery. He will need to see an eye specialist either way. I am asking the cat community and animal lovers to donate to help this desperate situation. There is a lot of expenses to house & foster kitties from this property. Everything from cat food, litter, flea medications to vetting to expenses to transport adoptable cats.
