We are a group of animal lovers with close ties to Turkey. There are alarming numbers of abandoned dogs in the country and we are committed to rescue as much as we can and re-home them in Europe and this is a timely and costly project. The dogs should have all the necessary vaccinations, required blood test and they have to wait at least 4 months before entering to Europe. We believe that during this period they need to be in a secure and pleasant environment almost like a sanctuary in order to help them transition from the streets or terrible shelters to their new homes. This will allow them to start feeling better and trusting humans again and us to observe them in order to decide who would be a best fitted person/family for adoption. We call the project URLA HUB. We rented a land with lots of olive trees in a small village called Urla in Aegean region in Turkey but we need funding to build a proper place for our dogs (not cages) as well as a mobile home for their care taker. The initial setup includes fences to secure the area for our dogs, infrastructure such as electricity, water, sewage, appliances and furniture for the mobile units where the dogs will stay at night and for the mobile home where the care taker will be living.
