Denied Care for Being Trans — Support My Fight for Justice
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Matty. I’m a 27-year-old trans man from Scotland and since January I’ve been facing medical negligence and discrimination that has turned my life upside down.
As a trans person, I was denied the life-saving hormone treatment I’ve relied on since I was 16. My new doctor refused to provide adequate care, and after I raised concerns about discriminatory treatment, I was unfairly removed from the practice, leaving me without a GP. During this time, my health deteriorated and I’m now fighting to regain my wellbeing and seek justice.
I’ve gathered strong evidence to support my case, but I need help to cover legal costs to hold those responsible accountable.
I promise to donate any leftover funds to trans charities and organisations if we exceed the goal or if my legal costs are lower than expected.
This fight isn’t just for me—it’s to protect the health and rights of other trans people and children in the UK, especially in today’s challenging political climate.
I’ve never done anything like this before and it’s daunting, but your support can make a difference. Thank you for reading and standing with me.
