Abandoned Bulldog Puppy with Parvo help save her

Hi my name is Julie, this is how I found this poor Baby and she found her way to an isolation ward at The West LA VCA Animal Hospital. Last weekend when walking my dogs at dusk past an alley near my house, I saw a slumped cute grayish lump with sparkling eyes pleading for my help. I quickly put my dogs in my house and came back but the puppy hadn't moved at all she was to weak to run away. If I hadn't scooped her up right there it was only a matter of time before she would have been run over by a car.

After bringing her inside (far away from my dogs) she seemed in shock but it was soon obvious when she was vomiting blood that something else was very wrong with her. I immediately started calling around all the emergency vets and I finally found one who could take her and had an isolation ward for Parvo cases. As soon as the vet said she tested positive for Parvo I knew the cost would be great but I had to do my best to save this sweet innocent puppy's life. I knew with hospitalization she could survive and without it her odds were next to none. This is no doubt why someone dumped her.

In the hope she would get better care in the hospital if she had a name I called her Baby and she is a very sweet baby too wagging her tail and trying to get up when the vets and techs come see her even though she is exhausted and in pain . For the past four nights while she has been hospitalized in isolation she had to have multiple IVs , daily blood tests to monitor her very low blood sugar and white cell count, intravenous antibiotics, different medications for the terrible pain and to help stop her vomiting and diarrhea and finally after trying to get her to even eat a little bit of food they gave her an abdominal ultrasound to make sure her intestines hadn't already been perforated by Parvo (or something else since I knew nothing about her) and put in a feeding tube. They told me they weren't sure the feeding tube would even work they had to use the smallest one since she is a bulldog and has very little room in her snout and then it could get clogged but the West LA VCA staff have taken excellent care of her and prevented this from happening!
Finally on the fourth day she is starting to show some improvement and is at least drinking on her own and keeping a little bit of the feed down. I will attach the treatment plan I received from the hospital so far so you can see her bill for the first three days. Her vet said we would have to wait and see since she could still get worse before she gets really better and can't leave the hospital before she shows she will eat on her own. Puppies who don't eat deteriorate very quickly .

Here is a link to the bills for the past three day s in the West LA VCA Animal Hospital from 9/12- 9/14 . There you can see the treatments and the charges she received though she will be in the hospital for he next 24 hours and maybe longer they still couldn't tell me for sure yet.

I put the deposit and subsequent charges on my credit card but I really can't afford this expense alone it will create a financial hardship it may take years to dig out of but the life of a sweet baby like this is worth any effort we can make for her even if whoever dumped her saw her as worthless.

Please help me cover her expenses with as much as you can spare. Parvo is a terrible disease that effects dogs and especially puppies like this who either were unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and without intensive care from an animal hospital will die by this horrendous illness. I have had several experiences rescuing and successfully finding good homes for several dogs I've found roaming in my neighborhood. I know there is a forever loving home at the end of this nightmare for poor Baby.
