Abandoned Beagle Needs Life-Saving Care

Donation protected
Hello! My name is Tristan. Recently, with the help of a neighbor, a lost Beagle was found at the Issaquah Highlands Bark Park tied to a post and left. This was on Wednesday, 5/21/25. She was there for several hours before members of the community came together and helped her get to my spouse and me so we could take care of her until she finds her owners or forever home.

On Friday, 5/23/25, at her routine vet checkup, she was estimated to be 4-5 years old and used as a breeding dog. Her chest and nipples were very swollen, indicating she had a recent litter. Upon further examination, she was noted to have several mammary tumors along her chest and belly. We consulted with two vets (Banfield and Issaquah Veterinary Hospital) for quotes on surgery. Due to her size and the complexity of the tumors, they recommend a single chain mastectomy (removal of her nipples and breast tissue from each side). The cost of this is estimated to be $5000.

We are in contact with Seattle Beagle Rescue and Seattle Humane in hopes of finding a way to do surgery funding support with them or even have the procedure done with them, but resources for stray animals are sparse right now.

My hope is to raise enough money to get her surgeries done and get her on the road to recovery so she can resume having a happy, explorative life! Any money not used for surgery will go to her care for food, and what’s left will be donated to Seattle Humane and Seattle Beagle Rescue.
