Hi we’re Aimée and Karis, we’re in year 13 at Belfast High School, and this Easter we were lucky enough to be part of the first BHS team to Uganda with the charity Abaana Ministries. On our trip we were able to experience the Ugandan culture and understand the situation that many Ugandans in poverty are living in. We were given the opportunity to work with Abaana’s street-reach programme and meet some of the homeless boys on the streets of Kampala. Abaana’s team provided free medical treatment to any of the boys who needed it, but they were very limited in what they were able to do and there was a lack of resources available to them.

After experiencing first hand the conditions that these boys are living in, we wanted raise money for them, so we’ve decided to abseil down the Europa Hotel in Belfast on the 22nd of June to fundraise for Abaana’s medical team - any donations are greatly appreciated. ❤️
