Our Journey to Starting a Family - The Ringler’s

Hello!

We are Richard and Gabrielle Ringler and we are asking for financial assistance and support to help with starting our family through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). We appreciate you taking the time to read our story and help support us on our journey to start our family.

Shortly after starting our careers as a surveyor and an elementary school teacher, we were married on May 27 of 2018. Immediately we knew that we wanted to start a family. After an initial year of no success we reached out to a fertility specialist in Raleigh with the hopes of finally finding the answers we were looking for. We were thrilled to start our first medicated cycle, which included medication, monitoring ultrasounds, and injections. Unfortunately after three unsuccessful cycles we were forced to not only reevaluate our fertility treatments, but also our dream of starting a family.

Fast forward to our first Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) in March of 2021 we believed that we were one step closer to starting our family. Two weeks after the IUI we found out that it was unsuccessful. After multiple tests, we were finally able to determine the main causes of our infertility struggle including a blocked Fallopian tube and PCOS. After speaking with our fertility specialist and weighing all options it was determined the best way to accomplish our dream of having a baby would be to proceed with IVF.

We have been painstakingly saving for a little over a year to reach our goal of affording IVF. We are both naturally reserved and have not shared our struggle openly with many. We are looking forward to picking up where we left off on our adventure with any support.

In hopes of one day setting up a nursery, we bought a puzzle that represents our fertility journey. We will write the name of every person who has supported us in any way on a puzzle piece, in hopes of one day having all of the pieces of our infertility journey completed. We hope to hang the completed puzzle with everyone’s names as reminder of the amazing support everyone has showed through this process.
