Chance to Dance

My names Ben and I'm 15 years old. I've been dancing since I was 8 years old, and ballet is my passion. I have danced in pantomimes in Cardiffs New Theatre, until I grew too tall to be able to. I have also danced with English youth ballet in Swan Lake and numerous dance schools shows, and recently was the Prince in Cinderella in the Congress Theatre Cwmbran . A ballet career is my dream and i have been encouraged by my ballet teachers that this is where my future could be .

I was successfully offered places 2 years running at a prestigious ballet school but the process for auditions changed due to Covid and there was no longer the number of places available, and funding opportunities. I was invited a year early to audition for KS Dance College in Warrington, and was successful at gaining a place on their professional performance course at a foundation level. I have been given a full scholarship for this years course fees but it doesn't cover accommodation costs. I am not eligible to claim any funding until September 2023 the first academic year after my 16th birthday. This is an amazing opportunity as this school rarely gives out scholarships. I feel extremely privileged to have this opportunity.

I will be living in a host house and any funds will be used for my accommodation, gcse tutors, and ancillary costs .

My mother has supported me throughout this but financially these costs are unattainable. Any help through donations would be extremely appreciated and helpful. Thank you for taking the time to read my story .
