Help Scott Cannoy's sister Lynn stay in her home

Scott Cannoy left this life on August 30, 2021. He is mourned by his sister Lynn, who has lived with him for years, and cared for him over the past couple of years as his health deteriorated, even though she herself is on disability. Though they loved each other dearly, Scott wasn't ready to examine his own mortality and did not leave a will. This leaves Lynn in a tough spot, with a mortgage, utilities, and more than a bit of deferred maintenance on the house. To add to all of this, while mourning the loss of her brother, Lynn was hospitalized within the week due to Covid-19, spent several days in the ICU in Lebanon, and is now slowly recovering at home. We're hoping that the many friends of Scott and Lynn can help

 

 

Scott graduated from South Albany, class of 1976. After high school, he went to work in the family business, Industrial Welding Supply until the early 1990s. He then started his own business, Cascade Welding in Corvallis, OR. He sold that business to Airgas later, around 1996-97, then went to work for Airgas, up until 2019. At that time, he became disabled, after undergoing heart surgery with many complications.

 

 

Scott really missed talking with and helping out his fellow employees and all the customers he knew from years of being in the industrial area of welding & gases. His knowledge in that area was vast, and he loved to share it and help others. More than once, instructors at OSU called on his expertise in that field.

 

 

He loved his cats and family, and his favorite hobby was playing poker. Scott had many friends and acquaintances, from his school days, working life, and card rooms. He was a familiar sight at a few restaurants and watering holes around town, and will be missed terribly.
