Crossing The Finish Line

Donation protected
On March 12, 2018, 3 days before my 40th birthday, I was shot 5 times at point blank range (once in the head, twice in the left side of my stomach and twice in my left thigh where a bullet still remains) by a guy I dated for 6 months. I was a social work student at Ursuline College and was 8 weeks away from graduating with my Bachelors in Social Work. Through this trauma, my injuries caused me to spend nearly a month in rehab where I underwent extensive therapy to learn how to walk again. That therapy then carried on to outpatient therapy for nearly a year. The trauma also affected my speech which had mostly been resolved. I underwent a tremendous amount of counseling to address the mental and emotional aspects of the trauma.

On January 20, 2021, I returned to Ursuline College to finish what I started but this time I came back stronger and determined to achieve my goal. I have successfully completed my internship in Early Childhood Mental Health.

I am in need of financial help to finish paying for this last semester. I am due to graduate on May 14, 2021 but without my balance being paid off, I will not be able to walk the stage or receive my diploma that I worked so hard for. I will not be able to cross the finish line. All donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
