As the homeless pet population continues to rise in our area, it has become even more urgent that we get this shelter built. We are struggling to get this project off the ground. We are not looking to build anything huge or fancy, just a simple building that can be climate controlled. The concrete/site prep alone will cost about $15,000. The building shell will be another $20,000. We will still have to get an electrician and plumber to do that part, and I dont have those estimates yet. And the kennels themselves will be about $15,000. We have $20,000 from the Jordan's Way Fundraiser we did last year. Once we spend that we will have no cushion, which means we will have no reserves for emergency vet care, no way to help dogs that come to us after traumatic events like hit by car, attacked by animals, etc. Adoptions are so slow right now, and we are having a difficult time keeping our heads above water. Still, dogs are dying in the streets, and we want to help as many as possible. We simply cant do it alone. We need the help of our community and supporters. Any donation will help, no matter how big or small. We are so grateful to everyone who has helped us over the years. As always, your donation is tax deductible, and very much appreciated. Let's get this done and save some dogs!
