As many have heard, our dear friend, Aashni Pletcher, sadly passed away suddenly on November 28, 2023. Aashni was a 4th grade student and a fellow Seal since preschool. The Redwood Shores community has watched her grow and persevere throughout the years with the struggles she faced, and she did so with such grace, strength, and a never-ending positive spirit. She holds a very special place in the hearts of so many friends, families, students, parents, educators, nurses, and beyond. She will be deeply missed and our hearts break for her family.

Aashni is survived by her heartbroken mother, Aditi, and loving brother, Aarav. Similar to many others in the community, we cannot begin to imagine the heartbreak and devastation Aashni's family is going through, but definitely want to do something to help. As many have reached out to us looking for ways to contribute, we have put together this GoFundMe page to honor Aashni and support Aditi and Aarav through this unimaginable transition. The funds raised here will help Aashni's family with service arrangements, and when ready, starting a foundation to help children with disabilities, specifically raising awareness and funding schools and homes for their needs. Aashni’s father, Jacob, passed away suddenly in May 2022 from arrhythmia from Covid. Aashni suffered RSV, and that coupled with her Polymerase Gamma, unfortunately took her life far too soon. We will all miss Aashni so much, but in the words of Aditi, “She is in the loving arms of (her) Daddy now.” Thank you for contributing.
