Aaron's Race

Aaron is a happy 3 year-old boy who loves cars, trucks, and trains. He has a contagious love for life and is likely Lightning McQueen’s biggest fan – did I mention that this kid loves cars!  

Just a few weeks ago, on Halloween, Aaron’s life changed. Initial blood tests performed at the family’s physician returned results consistent with leukemia. The same day Aaron was admitted to Children's Mercy in Kansas City where he was given a blood transfusion and was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Within the next week while at the hospital Aaron received a spinal tap, central venous line, and started three regimens of chemotherapy. Aaron responded well to this initial treatment and will now continue weekly chemotherapy for the next 2-3 years. 

This is where you come in: Join us in helping Aaron and the Butikofer family meet the financial demands that Aaron’s treatment will undoubtedly have on the family. All proceeds will be transferred to Aaron’s parents to meet the cost of medical treatments and any other expenses to help Aaron through this race.
